I can only hope majoring in English and minoring in linguistics had a positive impact on my writing. Perhaps more importantly, I have ample opportunities to write for diverse audiences.

Web Design

I have worked in varying capacities as a web designer and developer. My experiences have granted me a profound respect for the intricacies of web design from the perspectives of users, developers, clients, and backend supporters alike.

If done well, a website grows organically from an initial assessment of need into a satisfying and comforting interface for distribution of content. If done poorly, a site can spiral from a neat idea into a confounding, abysmal hole in the info-web.

While I have never focused specifically on graphic design as a professional endeavor, I believe the use of images, fonts, and colors has a profound impact on our ability transfer information. This holds true in virtually every visual medium. With that in mind, I strive to develop clean, simple designs. I rely on my intuition to connect the right combination of words and text with the intended meaning.
